ABOUT THE AUTHOR
ENGR. JOHN PAUL PECHARDO DELA ROSA is the principal structural engineer and director of XSTRUCTURES, a company he built in the Philippines in August 2018. XSTRUCTURES is today’s leading company in the Philippines for distributing software licenses and delivering trainings on some of the most widely used engineering and architecture computer-based design software from renowned developers like Bentley, Autodesk, Seismosoft, IDEA StatiCa, ZWSoft, etc.
XSTRUCTURES is also involved in designing offshore brownfield projects in the Middle East as part of its additional function as an engineering company. Engr. Dela Rosa is a graduate of Bulacan State University in Malolos, Bulacan with a BS Civil Engineering degree. He worked as an Offshore Structural Engineer in AMEC Foster Wheeler and was involved in offshore brownfield projects, mainly doing design and analysis for offshore platform retrofitting, modifications, and extensions.
Prior to forming his own company, he worked with Bentley Systems Middle East as a Structural Applications Engineer and then as a Regional Account Manager for a span of almost eight years. During his tenure in Bentley, he was able to deliver hundreds of trainings, seminars, and webinars for STAAD, RAM, Prostructures, and SACS product lines.
